What is the TI gateway? - The simplified connection to the telematics infrastructure!
The secunet TI Gateway (TIG) is a service that connects medical care providers to the telematics infrastructure (TI), the platform for healthcare applications in Germany. All medical care providers - regardless of size and whether mobile or stationary - can easily connect to the TI and all specialist services available via the TIG as a Service. All the medical care provider needs is a software or hardware client, which we provide.
The TI gateway consists of our high-performance highspeedconnector and the so-called access module. It replaces the decentralized connection to the TI via local connectors and offers "TI newcomers" an easy introduction to the TI.

Quick and easy migration with medical connect
You benefit from major time savings thanks to the quick and easy migration from secunet konnektor to TIG-HSK instances in less than 10 minutes, with minimal intervention in ongoing operations. The migration tool makes it easier to set up the new connection quickly.
- The configuration information is copied from the connector to a server.
- Disconnect the connector from the network.
- Connect medical connect via the vacant connection instead.
- The configuration information is automatically copied from the server to the TI Software Client, the access point to the TIG, on medical connect.
- The TI software client connects to the TI gateway.
With medical connect, the connector hardware is given a second life and becomes a flexible application platform which, as an edge gateway, can also accommodate other applications in addition to the TI software client, i.e. the TI connection at the service provider.

The TI Software Client ensures a quick and easy connection of the service provider to the TI gateway. Thanks to WebSocket technology, this is possible via standard ports.
The software is optionally available
- as a software-only client that can be installed on local devices or
- preconfigured on the medical connect hardware platform,
which ensures a flexible and user-friendly connection for every application.
